Deepak founded the Global Gases Group after recognizing the market opportunity to deliver a high quality, customer oriented gas supply service to the offshore and medical market sectors. He previously worked extensively in the gases industry in the MiddleEast, Africa and USA and brought over 24 years helium business knowledge when founding the company

Michael Poole – Group Logistics Manager

Michael has joined Global Gases Group in June 2011 and is based out of Head Office in Dubai. His prior work experience includes a successful Military career within the British Army on various locations in the world and as a Logistic Support Operations Manager in Kabul. Michael is looking after effective utilization of Group’s Logistics assets and works closely with Global Gases Group Afghanistan Projects.

Keith Darabos – General Manager Technical Operations

Keith has been a part of Global Gases Group since March 2011 and is based out of Head Office in Dubai. Keith has more than 30 years of experience in Specialty Gas Division of reputed gas companies in USA and brings a wealth of experience to the core management team. Keith has taken on the responsibilities of commissioning new facilities and improving efficiencies within the Group.

Amit Anand: Deputy General Manager, Dubai

Amit has worked within the Industrial Gases Industry for over 12+ years across a range of Applications, Sales and Marketing roles in India and SE Asia. He joined Global Gases August 2005 when it was at a much earlier stage of development and has been instrumental in helping the company achieve the high level of growth over the last 4 years. Amit presently concentrates on supporting the needs of our important MRI Liquid Helium businesses worldwide.  

Peter Hay: Director Business Development

Peter has over 35 years’ experience in the Gases industry and has held senior management roles with BOC and BJ Service Co. He was closely involved in the development and commercialisation of the Helium recovery system in Darwin, Australia from the Bayu Undan gas field.

During his long career, Peter has been involved with the development of offshore container and cylinder specifications required to meet the market and technical demands in Australia . He brings a wealth of knowledge to Global Gases on the various engineering standards required to maintain the most stringent safety standards.

Lance Jackson: Regional Manager, Africa

Lance brings to Global Gases nearly 20 years experience in the marine and offshore oil & gas industries across the African continent and beyond. His experience covers offshore diamond mining, diving and oil & gas exploration. He has worked across a large number of functions within the offshore industry including Procurement, Logistics, Project Management, Vessel Management and Regional Territory Management. Lance joined Global Gases in 2007 from Smit Subsea.

SwapnilVichare: Operations Manager – Asia Pacific

Swapnil has over 11 years of experience in erection, commissioning and operations for large scale air separation plants for manufacturing industrial gases. He has been a part of Global Gases Group since 2006 and is currently based out of Kuala Lumpur. Swapnil has played a key role in expanding the group operations in Asia Pacific region and has successfully erected and commissioned new facilities at Malaysia, Australia, and China

Gordon McClean: Regional Manager, Australia

Gordon, who joined Global Gases in 2009, has extensive experience in the Offshore Industry, with a background in welding applications. Gordon worked in the areas of Welding Supervision, Quality Control and QA Management with one of Australia’s largest steel fabricators. He joined BOC as Technical Manager, and after a number of years in this role, moved into Sales Management with particular emphasis on supplying solutions to the rapidly growing Offshore Industry.

T Salbaras: Senior Group HSEQ Senior Manager, Global Gases Group

Sal has over 20 years of experience in working for the Health & Safety, Environment and QualityManagement Industry in the Asia Pacificand was associated with Helix Canyon Offshore and Cal Dive International.He is currently based at our Singapore office, from where he oversees Global Gases Group Occupational Health & Safety, Environment and Quality management systems for the business. Sal is a qualified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.His extensive knowledge of HSEQ practices compliments the Group's team of professionals to ensure a close understanding of company's Health & Safety, Environment and Quality Management Systems.
